Registration: Register for NorCal Now
Behavior Policy: Please download a copy of the behavior policy and associated form that must be signed by each delegate (one per) and handed in at registration
Computers: We have a writing lab with 30 stations, not quite enough if all Norcal schools enter two people in each writing/photo contest. But we have an adjacent room for students to use their own, or their college’s, laptops. so we encourage colleges to bring at least one with them just in case. All laptops must have Microsoft Word 2010 or later and power cords. No Alpha Smarts will be used.
Contests: Five on-the-spot contests are tentatively planned for NorCal conference this year: News Writing, Opinion Writing, News Photo, Editorial Cartoon and multiple-choice Copy Editing test
Workshops: There will be a series of workshops from professionals in the industry and editor roundtables. A schedule will be available by mid-September once workshop speakers have been confirmed. SCHEDULE
Special needs: Advisers registering students with special needs should consult with the Disabled Students Program and Services office, or similar department, on their own campuses about providing student support for the college-sponsored field trip to the conference. In addition, please email Site Host Adviser Cindy McGrath at [email protected] with details.
