Information for the 2015 JACC NorCal Conference

When: Saturday, Nov. 7, 2015 from 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m.

Where: The University Union at Sacramento State University

Cost: $50 per delegate

Deadline to register: Oct. 22

Late Registration: After Oct. 22, the fee will be $60. Name changes are free up through Oct. 30 After Oct. 30, there will be a $10 late name change fee (not applicable to late registrations).
Advisers should register their entire delegations by using the “add guest” function in the registration tool. Please do not register student delegates with separate registrations.

AlphaSmarts/Computers: 

We will be using  laptops and/or alpha smarts at Norcal. Each school must bring at least one laptop or alpha smart per contestant. This is the last conference the Alpha smarts will be allowed.
All laptops must have Microsoft Word 2010 or later, written passwords, and power cords. Alpha smart should have fresh batteries.

Contests: 5 on-the-spot contests for NorCal conference this year.

Newswriting, Opinion Writing, News Photo, Editorial Cartoon and multiple-choice Copy Editing test

Workshops: There will be a series of workshops from professionals in the industry and editor roundtable.
